Bachelor of Business Administration in Strategic Design and Management

Parsons Paris is one of the best design schools in the world, and it is especially recognized for fashion as numerous famous designers such as Tom Ford or Anna Sui are alumni of the school. 

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Strategic Design and Management of Parsons is a 4-year program that aims to help students acquire design-driven analytical communication, collaborative, and management skills in the context of fashion and luxury but those skills can be applied in a range of industries all over the world.

Admission requirements

Admission is open to everyone. All undergraduate Parsons Paris applicants are required to apply online using the Common Application. You must complete all required fields and uploads them prior to submission. The following documents are required to apply: 

  • Application form
  • Official transcripts from high school
  • Parsons Challenge (recommended, but not required): For this challenge, you need to create a new visual work inspired by an advertisement, invention or theme and support your process by writing one 500 word essay describing how your ideas developed.
  • Essay about why you want to join the school
  • Test scores: 
    • SAT and ACT (not required, but you can include them if you want)
    • TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, and DET for all applicants whose first language is not English

French proficiency

Speaking French is not required to be admitted into this program, and the school does not offer French classes.

Created in 1981, the Paris College of Art has an U.S degree-granting accreditation and it is also recognized by France’s Ministry of Education as an establishment of higher education. Its goal is to provide the highest standard of art and design education, taught within an American pedagogical paradigm while being influenced and informed by their French and European environment.

Paris College Art’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design aims to give students a solid foundation in visual form and design principles, as well as addressing the methodologies and issues behind contemporary graphic design. 

Admission requirements

To get into this Bachelor, students need to provide: 

  • Completed Application Form
  • Portfolio
  • Personal statement
  • Transcripts from a minimum of 3-years of study
  • English language test scores (for applicants who have not completed three or more years of secondary/high school or university level schooling in English) 
    • TOEFL IBT (Minimum score: 92)
    • IELTS (Minimum score: 6.5 band score)
    • Cambridge English (Minimum score: 175 on B2 First, C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficient exam)
  • Optional: CV, recommendation letters

In addition to these documents, you must also schedule an interview (in person or by phone) with a member of the admissions committee.

Bachelor of Graphic Design

The LISAA is a network of schools spread over 6 cities in France (Paris, Rennes, Nantes, Strasbourg, Bordeaux & Toulouse), but also in China and India, and trains designers in fashion, graphic design, motion design, web design, interior architecture, design, 2D/3D animation, video games & special effects. This bachelor of design teaches students how to define a visual communication strategy, master different means of expression and to use them on print, packaging and interactive media. The course is taught by active professionals who are established in their area of expertise, with several work placements at the school’s partner companies.

Admission requirements

Students can join the LISAA bachelors and masters at the beginning of every year (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th year). International students wishing to apply for LISAA must make an appointment for an admissions interview. A date for an interview will be arranged as soon as possible. The interview will take place via Skype. This will allow the student’s motivation to be evaluated, based on his general and artistic knowledge. Applicants must provide: 

  • A presentation of personal work (drawing, illustration, photography, graphic design, personal research)
  • A resume or C.V.
  • A motivation letter
  • Academic transcripts of records of the last 2 semesters of education
  • A copy of passport/ID card

Applicants will be informed of their admission status within a week following the interview. 

French proficiency

The course is entirely taught in English, you don’t have to speak French to be admitted.

For Non-EU students: Tuition fees for the Bachelor of Design amount to €9,890 for the first year and €10,990 for the 2nd & the 3rd year in 2020/2021. 

For EU students: Tuition fees for the Bachelor of Design amount to €7,890 for the first year and €8,990 for the 2nd & the 3rd year in 2020/2021.
